Witness Of Light

Photo Location: Port Townsend, WA

Travel has always been a way for me to restore the healing process in my own soul and body. Countless hours and miles driven from one state to the other, might seem as an unusual form of restlessness to people who are considered to be more "normal" in modern world. My restlessness however, translates into my inner-never ending hunger to explore and learn by searching. Which rewards me with a sense of inner security that I could never get from just living life in one place-like most people do. All my life, the word "home", had the meaning of being able to find peace within, independent of where I am living or whom I am with. I guess, some people just hate being in one place and rather love constant exploring (think nomads). I am super proud to be one of them.

I have discovered this rustic lighthouse at the end of the world (more or less), all the way up in Northwest Washington. As the day was running out, I boarded a ferry somewhere north of Seattle, which took me to the town of Port Townsend. After getting a quick bite to eat, I found this park at the end of the peninsula, where I watched the sun set, as the last rays of light brushed against the crumbling walls of this historic lighthouse...

I stood there for few minutes looking at the sun drop behind the endless ocean, thinking to myself- I'm just a visitor at all these places that I might never come back to, yet through my art, I get to keep the memories of being in those places in my life forever.

Hope you enjoy this artwork as much as I do. "Witness of Light" was always a special creation for me. I fell in love with soft orange sunset colors immediately. It's offered as museum quality Trulife acrylic mounted print. I recommend it framed with Walnut Roma Moulding frame, to bring out the reddish orange theme of artwork and help accentuate the warmth of the sunset. This would look amazing as a kitchen wall decor at your beach house or as large wall art if you have rustic, industrial or perhaps even farm style interior design style within your living space. Enjoy
