Flower Garden
Photo Location: Morro Bay, CA
Morro Bay comes alive in spring with vibrant wildflowers — including candelabra aloe, lupine, poppies, and mustard — that carpet the hillsides and coastal bluffs in brilliant shades of purple, orange, and yellow. Standing watch over it all is Morro Rock, a massive 23-million-year-old volcanic plug rising dramatically from the shoreline, its ancient dark silhouette providing a stunning backdrop to the season's colorful bloom.
