During the rainy season in the state of Oregon, the forest gets rich in plants and vegetation. Many varieties of mushrooms sprout out of the soil and showcase their beauty. They make great subjects for macro photography. I stumbled upon this little guy Amanita muscaria hiding behind a tree and spent several minutes photographing it from different angles. This mushroom contains ibotenic acid and muscimol that can cause hallucinations if consumed!
