The Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe, CA is quite a busy destination at any time of the year! The magnificent bay hosts the only single island on the entire lake -the Fannette Island. The little island attracts boats mainly during the summer where people come to hang out around its shores, and for fine art landscape photographers it serves as a great bonus to an already spectacular view of the emerald bay.

I was able to capture this crisp winter image of Emerald Bay when visiting on a Thanksgiving weekend when the temperatures are starting to get low and the first snow has already hit the mountains. Creating a fresh winter scene during a late sunset.
