Gediminas Castle (Gedimino Pilis)
Photo Location: Vilnius, Old Town, Lithuania
Gediminas Castle is a iconic medieval tower perched atop a steep hill in the heart of Vilnius, Lithuania, and serves as one of the most enduring symbols of the city and the nation itself. Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, the remaining Gothic tower offers panoramic views over the Old Town and the confluence of the Neris and Vilnia rivers, and houses a museum dedicated to the medieval history of the Lithuanian state.
